Mitchell's best-candidate algorithm approximates Poisson-disc sampling. One of it's advantages is that by placing more dots, the density of the stippling is increasing while the blue noise characteristic is still preserved. We can use this property of the algorithm to distribute the density of the placed dots according to input image (darker areas are more dense and the lighter are less dense).
